Standard Questions
1. How can I benefit from this software?
Employees tend to work more productively if they know that they are being monitored. This also ensures your workers use the computer resources and internet connections only for company's purposes even if they are working remotely. You can hire qualified workers without thinking of the location conflicts.
2. Who will benefit from using AG?
AG is designed for businesses that hire remote workers. AG allows these businesses to hire employees anywhere around the world ensuring that each workers output will be monitored.
3. Do you offer free trial of the product?
Yes. We offer a 14-day free trial of AG with its full features by providing you a Free Trial Account, which is registered as a Company Admin Account. Once this account is confirmed, you will be directed to the Company Admin's dashboard where you can create your remote workers. The created remote workers will receive their account confirmation via e-mail. This introduction email will include instructions for how to install the client software.
4. How can I sign up for a license after the free trial period ends?
All you have to do is to enter your billing information to your free trial account. Your credit card will be billed immediately after the free trial period ends. The cost is $15 per user license. You can add or remove licenses whenever you want. The licenses are renewed monthly.
5. What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment by credit card (Mastercard and Visa).
6. How many licenses do I need to purchase?
The number of licenses depends on the number of user/worker accounts that you want to monitor.
7. Are there version updates of the product?
Yes. We are continually adding new features and improvements to the product. The client software is automatically updated each time there is a new release. The updating process of the AgentGuardian client is explained in Importance of AgentLive Update.
8. Is this system a spyware?
No. Workers must explicitly log in to the system. If they have not logged into the system, no information from their computer will be tracked. If a worker wants to use their computer for private, personal purposes, they can simply log out of AgentGuardian, or change their AgentGuardian status to 'On Break'.
9. Should my employees be informed that they are being monitored?
Yes. Since the product is designed for monitoring and time tracking, not for spying, managers and workers can freely discuss the usage of the system. Further details about the system are available in the site Privacy Policy.
10. My remote user forgot his password, what should I do?
Password can be reset either by the remote user or by the company admin:
- By the remote user - from AgentGuardian Live Monitor login page, just click the 'Forgot your Password?' link. The user will be prompt to enter his email address, after doing so, just click the 'Reset Password button'. The user will received an email of the new password that was generated.
- By the Company Administrator - from the Company Administrator's account, just go to the remote user account that is needed to reset the password, go to the edit user details page, and just click 'Generate Password Button'. The remote user will received an email of the new password that was generated.
Technical Questions
1. What versions of Windows does the AG software support?
AG software is tested working in Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
2. Is there any software that can conflict/block AG?
There was previously a conflict with Kaspersky software regarding the upgrading of the AG client. This can be prevented and is explained in Agentguardian and Kaspersky Problems.

3. Does this software filter Internet sites?
No. AG software does not filter the sites a worker visits. It just records every site the user visits.
4. Will the AG software monitoring still work when the server is off?
Yes. The information that was monitored when the server is off is saved temporarily on the local computer and will be automatically uploaded when the server is already available. This allows the system to accurately monitor work, even if a worker has a weak Internet connection, or can't go online.
5. What if the remote worker uses multiple computers within a day?
Worker's activities can still be monitored even when working on different computers. All they have to do is to log-in to the AG application on the computer they are currently working.
6. Does the product slow down the worker's machines?
No. The desktop application uses minimal system resources, so it won't slow down the computers of remote workers.
7. How can I manage my employees having different time zone settings?
AG is designed to create multiple offices, either physical or virtual, to let you organize your employees with different time zones. All you have to do is to assign each employee to the office that is synchronized with their workstation's time-zone setting. This way, your employees will follow the time-zone setting of the office they are assigned to. Managing location constraints is explained in Organizing your remote users in offices.
8. Can I specify another employee or client to monitor the activities of my remote workers?
Yes. AG allows you to manage your remote users effectively and also allow your clients to monitor your employees working for them so they could also track their progress. For this purpose, create Office Manager Account or a Company Monitor Account. These accounts are allowed to view the activities of the workers assigned to them.
- Office Managers - if you want to distribute remote user management to different supervisors or a department head.
- Company Monitors - if a particular remote user needs to be monitored by a supervisor, client, or another office personnel.
Note: Office Managers can add remote user accounts.
Note: Company Monitors can only view remote user's activity starting from the date the user was assigned to them.
9. I have noticed that the timesheet of my remote worker is incorrect, what should I do?
Check the location constraints of the remote user that have incorrect timesheet. Checking the location constraints is explained here. You can change the location constraints of the remote users in the company administrator's or office manager's account.

10. Some of my workers failed to update their AG, what action should they take?
All they have to do is to reinstall the AgentGuardian Live Monitor desktop application.

11. What if my workers have weak internet connection, will the monitoring of AG be affected?
AgentGuardian is designed to monitor your remote users even if they are having trouble in internet connection. We offer you an 'Offline Mode' monitoring that let the working data of your remote workers to be saved temporarily on their workstation. At the time they are already connected to the internet, their working data will then be send to AG server. Offline mode monitoring is explained here.
12. My remote user's AG client says that his AG account is expired, what should I do?
You should update your billing information by logging in to Live Monitor Dashboard. By the time that you logged in to the site, you will be directed to Update License page. Updating of billing information usually takes 1 day to process. When a remote user have an expired AG account, he's working in offline mode, his timesheet will not be updated in the AgentGuardian Dashboard. As soon as the remote user's account is settled, he could relogin to his AG account and his offline data will now be included in the AG dashboard. View Handling Remote User's Expired License.
13. How will my remote users know if they are running the latest version of AgentGuardian desktop application?
